Student cafe in Copenhagen
|Description:||I had the same idea not too long ago, but a few factors bothered me.
A student cafe would naturally attract students and what do students do ? Students would come to this cafe to study and possibly discuss their assignments and projects. The thing is, it is very likely that each group of students would take at least a few hours to finish their work or discussion and during that period of time, it would be difficult to generate much revenue from them. They could have a full meal there and make use of the resources you provide. However, it is unlikely that students these days would pay for internet access in a student cafe, simply because most of them have access at home or in their dorms. Hence, this group of students who are going to stay for a couple of hours, are only going to leave with you a rather paltry amount of money relative to the time spent in the cafe. This is the thing that bothered me. Our intentions are good, but at the very least, we need to be profitable to stay in business.
|Need from others:||Do you intend to have a full equipped library ? If so, the start up costs could be rather high and this would translate to higher prices which would in turn drive students away. ( Let's assume they are undergraduates who aren't born with a silver spoon. I believe majority of students fall in this category. ) Also, wouldn't the space required for this cafe increase tremendously?
